So my computer is fixed, thanks to the magic that Derek was able to work on my computer. Now, however, the Macquarie wireless network is down. It's been down for almost a full week now. I had to wait in line to get a computer at the library; now I'm standing, writing this, hoping I don't get yelled at for "misusing" the internet in the library.
Also, I'm really sick of Australian phones. I miss Verizon (yeah, bet you'd never think you'd hear me say that, huh?!). Vodaphone prepaid was designed to steal my money.
This is the second to last week of lectures. I have two essays, each 2500 words, and one sit-down exam plus one more assignment for Astronomy. It's crazy how everything is winding down here. On one hand, I'm so homesick. I haven't seen anyone at home in four months; at the same time, though, as soon as I get home, I know I'm going to want to be back here. I'm doing my best to enjoy the rest of my time here. My flat is planning an end-of-the-year party, themed "Crazy Hair" and complete with Elisabeth's friend, Ben, and his band playing a few songs for all of us to karaoke to! Should be a great time. Then, after Derek is done with his exams, we're taking a trip through the Red Centre/Northern Territory. We're flying into Alice Springs, picking up a campervan (surprisingly, the cheapest way to travel in this situation), driving down to Uluru, then back up to Darwin. I am SO excited! It's going to be great!
Well, that's all for now. I'm going to go look up books for my essays.
- End of the Road...
- Baby Wipes and Outback Dust
- Chocolate Cake, Karaoke, and Camels
- Gearing Up for the End
- Australian Technology Sucks

Just read about your end of studies - good luck. We definitely look forward to seeing you back in Connecticut. In the meantime, please have fun but take good care of yourself.
