Friday and Saturday

June 21, 2008 - Amarillo, Texas, United States

We finally left about 5pm on Friday afternoon...first stop was dinner at the Cracker Barrel in Oxford, AL. A man at a table near us complimented Lily and Lee on their nice manners and good behavior at the table...all so true! Back on the road, L and L hit the bunk about 9pm, and Rusty motored on. We finally stopped at Olive Branch, Mississippi, very near Memphis, at a Flying J. Dumped (sewage) and pumped (gas), then slept a while.

Back up at 5:30am to start the day's trip, kids still snoozing up in the bunk. We hit a couple of rest stops and a gas stop, but mostly drove right through Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas to Amarillo, where we will be stopping for the night at the Fort Amarillo RV Park. Should be fun!
