We hit Texas late Saturday afternoon...at the Welcome Center, a sign was posted warning about rattlesnakes in high grass. Yipes, we avoided ANY grass after seeing that, but the welcome center was really nice with a great view.
Stayed at the Fort Amarillo RV Resort...a good spot. Sadly, Lily's hula hoop got crunched when we put the slide out on the RV...victim of unfortunate storage! She thinks it may still work, though.
We swam in the indoor pool and lounged in the hot tub. Rusty cooked dinner: hamburgers on the grill and corn on the cob. Yum. We took walks, enjoyed a pretty sunset, and were entertained by Lee's jokes. Most jokes involve a hamster. We also enjoyed a screening of "Smokey and the Bandit."
Breakfast on the patio on Sunday morning and we're off again, to Albuquerque.
Please bear with my technology shortcomings...still working out some of the tricks on this website!

I will be checking in on you from time to time, ensuring that you still have you sanity. This is great that you are taking the time to write this. My Saturday was less eventful, but full of the fun of the REM concert. I started drinking beer at home (the pre-party) before we left and felt inspired and called John Luckey who was at a wedding in Kansas but we talked for a while. He is great and he and his wife Tania are finally pregnant (first trimester!) yay! We even talked quite a bit about you and Jack and how we are getting back together frequently. Then as I got of the phone with John, Jack called, so it was a wonderful afternoon full of REMiniscing. The show was great, some older goodies like Harborcoat and These Days. Lots from Accelerate, which is really growing on me. And a great atmosphere. I just danced the whole time and loved every minute of it, even though they could have played their whole catalog and I wouldn't have been satisfied.
