Sunday

June 23, 2008 - Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

We headed straight for Albuquerque Sunday morning. Beautiful day and we enjoyed the desert scenery. We arrived at Hinkle's Family Fun Park in Albuquerque about 1pm...for some exciting go-cart racing action. The KOA was our next stop....a great campground with a nice pool and hot tub, playground, etc. Very quiet...not a lot of travelers at that stop. The kids swam and played. Of course it is very dry here...we were amazed by how quickly you dry off after hopping out of the pool.

In honor of being in the Southwest, we had a real authentic (?) Mexican dinner - tacos/quesadillas, guacamole, etc.

We had a big wind/rainstorm during the night, but our RV is very heavy so we barely felt the wind. Gorgeous morning, nice and cool. After a leisurely breakfast and some good playtime, we are off again...Four Corners today!

Thanks for the fun comments...I'm glad you guys are reading this!

Hi Kids

Your Mom sent these pictures on to us. It is great to see you on your trip. You have really added alot of states to your map. Great for two cute little kids from Tyrone/

Ben and I are back from our trip. we enjoyed our time away. Canada was beautiful. We went through the Wenatchee Valley in Washington to get to our friends home in Kelowna, British Columbia. The Valley is the apple capital of the world. Apple and cherry orchards are on both sides of the road for miles.

We are looking forward to this weekend when you get home. We miss you and love you lots.

Love Ben and Sue

Alot of people wait their whole life to take a trip like that & I am so glad you had the opportunity to do so with the kids. They will never forget this trip. In New Mexico it looks so open and desolate. Reminds me of the wild west movies with the tumble weeds.. I love you Rusty, Alicia, Lily and Lee. I am so glad you guys are having fun! Be careful coming back. Love, Donna
