So I am finally going back to the DR.!!!! After a whole month of being in Washington, I am finally medically cleared to return to country. YEAH! I am so excited. This was definately not what I expected. No offense to any of you great people who are reading this, but I thought for sure that I was not going to be back in the states for a while. Now I can finally start being a Peace Corps volunteer.
I did enjoy my trip to DC. I got to learn all about the metro system, which is incredible. I also got to go to Philly to see my Mom, sister, nephew, and brother in law. It seemed like great timing for me to be here, because they just moved there one month ago. I went to Philly last weekend and took the Chinatown bus back to DC. It sort of reminded me of being in the DR and taking a bus from Santo Domingo to Santiago. Public transportation really makes life interesting. You are exposed to so many different people. It's so cool.
