Well, as I suspected there wasn't too much time to keep you all updated on the trip. Tonight is our last night in Venice and we are trying to settle in to catch an early train to Milan. We have had a wonderful time. We took a gondola ride this evening which was very nice. The weather in Venice has been very hot and sunny. Unfortunately, it rained a bit while we were in Florence and on the Amalfi coast. It had to happen at some point. So far my favorite places have been Rome and Venice. Craig particularly liked Rome and Montalcino, a quiet hilltop town in Tuscany. I think he was very happy to have the freedom of driving and not relying on public transportation. We found the best Gelato in Florence I had kiwi flavored which was perhaps the most amazing thing I have ever tasted. The other Gelato places haven't been able to compete with that. We started the day off early to head to San Marc cathedral before it got too crowded. So I should try to get some sleep. I'll be posting more photos on snapfish and facebook when we return.
