Today was one hell of a day!
First I did a little touring of downtown Montreal by foot and by bus (I got one of those 3 day tourist unlimited passes). I was scholarly intelligent for the day as I visited the presitgious McGill University with particular focus on the bookstore! No purchases though. Today at least.
Then I went on a bike tour with the hostel from 11am-4pm. We covered a lot of ground! $20 CAD for >15 km isn't that bad, eh? And I got a massive tan.
Afterwards the group parted ways. I and another girl went to see L'Oratoire St. Joseph, a Catholic church here in Montreal. It is supposed to be the higest point in the city. It also has 99 steps to the place! We ascended and descended every single one of them!
Day 2 in Montreal has proved to be physically active. Tomorrow will rain so I will chill in the Underground City (a pedestrian underground network connecting buildings above and below ground). I might do some more souvenir shopping!
