Return or stay

July 8, 2008 - Montreal, Canada

Oh my gosh... this international keyboard is annoying! It`s taken me a long time to figure out what`s what. I still don`t know how to get the question mark to appear! Gaaaaaah!

Rather than eating breakfast at the hostel today, I took two buses to St. Viateur Bagels. I went based on a recommendation from the program 1-90 North. They raved about how sweet the bagels are. The verdict (insert question mark because I can`t seem to type it in!). My taste buds detected no difference. Oh well! At least mon petit-dejeuner was the cheapest it has been, at no more than $4.

Afterwards I ventured to the Underground City. It was overwhelming! So many stores. So many restos. So many businesses. 19 miles! I did not walk the entire length though. Oh, heavens no! The underground is equivalent to Woodfield, Old Orchard, and Gurnee Mills combined! It`s massive... definitely a shopaholic`s delight.

I also got to visit the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). I bought myself one of those 10-pocket folders for school :) I heart school supplies. Sadly, they do not sell any school paraphenilia; so no mug or shirt for me :( The interior of UQAM reminds me alot of NEIU. I think it is also a public uni.

I am less than 24 hours away from my scheduled departure en route to Chicago. Will I return (insert question mark here). Or will I stay (insert question mark). We`ll find out soon enough.

H.

You're coming back. There's no mystery. What time should we be at the airport?

HI ! You don't know me but i've seen your blog 'cause i'm also on fuzzy travel travelling in asia for 4 months... I'm from Montreal and keybords are no different than others !? not even the one i'm using in Philippines right now !!! Ok it's different from Tai Pei or Lao where the letters are REALLY different ! Hope you had a great time in the province of Quebec ! And by the way I don't think the St-Viateur's bagels are the best ones even if the're well known ! ;)
