Tokyo!

April 29, 2008 - Tokyo, Japan

I arrived safe and sound in Tokyo. I am currently the luckiest man on the planet as not only did myself AND my luggage make it through Heathrow Terminal 5 unscathed and on time, I managed to get upgraded on the flight not only once but twice!

I ended up in the top deck with one of those reclining beds. Crackin!

First impressions of the city here are that it looks great; I managed to negotiate the journey from the airport to Asakusa which is a very traditional part of town.

I have a free tour tomorrow and might get the chance to go to a sumo stable where you can watch the big fellas training!

dude you are one lucky mother! what a great start to what is going to be an amazing trip.
put the pics up of the sumo! try standing next to one so can have some perspective.
