Spent the day bumming around the hostel yesterday. I got my luggage back!! They had to inspect the soles of my trainers that were inside to check for soil…their customs dept is so strict here! Ventured out (in the rain, again) to the supermarket and bought lots of fruit, which I regretted as I had to lug it all back up the hill on the way home! Chatted to a few ppl in the hostel, most of whom have been traveling round NZ for a few months. Did get invited down the pub to watch the rugby, but declined so I cld make dinner. Then watched American Beauty in the lounge. Nice easy day really.
Am about to head off on a free day trip provided by Kiwi Experience, so I shall let u know how I get on
