Went to Paddy’s market briefly, known for its bargains (but not really for its quality!) then caught the ferry to Taronga zoo. Gorgeous views of the harbour again, and of the city when we took the cable car up to the entrance of the zoo. I got up close and personal with a koala, tho ur not allowed to touch them (sob!) they are sooooo cute tho!
Saw wallabies + kangaroos (tho I didn’t actually notice them. thought they were also wallabies.) was annoyed with the wallabies tho, as every time I tried to take a pic, they were revolting. One pee-d, one puked up, and the other one scratched its nether regions!! Dirty buggers.
Also saw the usual, penguins, tigers, lions, gorillas, etc. usual zoo type things. The enclosures were rather tiny tho. Not the most animal friendly zoo I've been to, that’s for sure. Tho was kinda surreal seeing the harbour bridge/opera house in the background when looking at giraffes!
Returned back to the city at sunset so more fantastic views. had thai for dinner, which was nice, but spicy! Then crawled into bed, was so tired. Was only 8.45pm!
Today, I went over to Bondi beach. The day wasn’t the best for it, as it was cloudy and kinda cold. But I had a quick paddle in the sea then did the famous Bondi to Coogee coastal walk. Was v pretty, but took much longer than the 1hr I was told! More like over 2! But my feet were killing me so we only made slow progress. Was dark by the time we got to Coogee. Tho it does get dark here at like 6pm.
Am going to on a day trip to the Blue Mountains tomorrow so I'd best be off. 2 new girls in my room that made soo much commotion when they arrived last night, so sleep is needed!
