The house is almost completely ready for the arrival of our renters, and the feeling of anticipation is starting to get stronger than the feeling of panic. As you can see from the pictures, the weather has been frightful for the last two weeks (fifty degrees one day, zero degrees 12 hours later, the first Nor'easter of the season last Friday) so, although we adore Vermont, we are definitely psyched to arrive in Australia mid-summer and travel though various countries on the Equator! Only one major problem remains: figuring out how we are going to get the huge pile of stuff that's currently on our bedroom floor into four backpacks and carry them around for the next eight months.
Ten days to go!

Ralph will miss his Chief Squirrel Feeder. Must look for a neighborhood back-up. It's not easy to find a guy like Lucas, who treasures a bag of peanuts.
