About us
We're Jeremy, Rachael, Beckie and Lucas - a family of four who are setting off on the adventure of a lifetime. Any time is a good time for a trip but 2009 brings two 40th birthdays, a 10th birthday and a 12th birthday. It also marks the 20th anniversary of Rachael and Jeremy spotting each other across the lawn on a fateful Junior Year Abroad program. So this trip is a toast: A toast to our family and the friends that inspired us, to the people our children are becoming, and to the unending adventure that is life.
About our trip
We're quitting work and school for a semester, and heading out to backpack around the world for eight months! All the places we're going have been on our "life-lists" for a long time. We've planned and packed for over a year but basically have no idea about what awaits us. Please join us through this blog as we set off into the unknown together.
