Prachtige dag vandaag, dus Nico, Teresa, Sophie en ik zijn op pad gegaan. sMiddags zouden we naar Havana Rakatan in Glasgow gaan, een Cubaanse dansshow. Dus smorgens besloten we nog even een wandeling te maken. We zijn toen naar Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park gereden, bij Lochwinnoch. Prachtig mooi daar! Na de tijd richting Kings Theatre om onze kaartjes op te halen. Voorhand hadden we nog even tijd dus zijn we naar het Contemporary Centre of Arts geweest voor een drankje en even rondkijken. Daarna naar Havana Rakatan, de show was echt geweldig! Na de show naar Lauders geweest voor een hapje eten. Nog 2 vrienden van Nico's team ontmoet, die later met ons mee zijn gegaan. Toen nog even Glasgow rondgelopen op zoek naar de Cuba Libre, een bar die blijkbaar al een paar maanden failliet was...helaas. Ach dan maar naar de Fruitmarket. Bij Coffee Republic wat gedronken. De fruitmarket is erg gezellig, alles overdekt en een verzameling van restaurants/kroegjes. Toen richting de Saltmarket gelopen, na geschuild te hebben van een flinke regenbui. We zijn maar even een bar ingegaan, The Clutha, waar live muziek was. Daar kwamen we een man tegen, Robert, die zeer enthousiast was om nederlanders tegen te komen. Hij had 36 jaar geleden in NL gewoond voor een jaartje en sprak nog steeds vloeiend nederlands. Zolangzamerhand was het maar tijd om naar huis te gaan.
Gorgeous day today, so Nico, Teresa, Sophie and I decided to head out. We were goin to Havana Rakatan, a show in Glasgow in the afternoon. So beforehand we decided to go for a hike. We headed to Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, near Lochwinnoch. Very beautiful spot! After the hike we headed to the Kings theatre to pick up our tickets. We still had a little bit of time to kill before the show so we went to the Centre of Contemporary Arts for a drink and to look at the exhibition. Then off to the show, which was great! Afterwards we went to Lauder's for a bite to eat. We met up with 2 of Nico's teammates who then came with us afterwards. We were still feeling the Cuban vibe, so we decided to look for Cuba Libre, a bar. Unfortunately we heard after quite a search that it no longer existed...bummer. Ah well, the fruitmarket it is. The fruitmarket is a fun place, its all indoors and its full of restaurants and pubs. We went for a drink at Coffee Republic. After that we walked towards the saltmarket, after hiding out from the rain first. We went to this bar, The Clutha, were there was live music. There we met this guy named Robert, who was very excited to bump into some dutchies. Turns out he lived in Holland for one year, 36 years ago. And he still spoke fluently dutch! The band was fun, but it was about time to head home.
