This is the second opera I went to, the first one was die Fledermaus in New York. This one was more of a drama, while the other one was funny. Nonetheless, great opera by Verdi!

La Traviata

The tragic tale of ill-fated courtesan Violetta and her love for nobleman Alfredo inspired one of Verdi's most exquisite scores.

From the exuberant drinking song to her poignant final aria, Violetta's transition from a colourful life of revelry to one of self-sacrifice is powerfully evoked in this sumptuous, fully-staged production.
