OK, so, as per Maggie's sage advice, I reconsidered and did some name-changing. I'm not trying to be mean, to dig any holes deeper, or to slander anyone's reputation, I'm just reporting the facts. I'm also not trying to make it sound like I'm having a miserable time here--because, while I miss home and my friends from home/college, I am learning so much and, above all, having fun despite setbacks and a lil' bit of drama (I know that sounds nerdy--the learning part--but really, I am glad that I have had this opportunity).
I just received a short e-mail from Sally [in Spanish] that was sent to the three of us. The e-mail was barely intelligible--there were so many typos and missing words--but the jist of it was that she won't be coming back until next Monday or Thursday and that she is sorry but she needed to rest after a week of [word unintelligible]. She also said that she needs to go to France for a few days and that if there was an emergency, she can be contacted by e-mail. My roommates aren't back from classes yet, but I am eager to hear their reactions/our course of action. We've begun looking for another apartment, but we want to get our deposits back and we have to give her a 15-day notice (but it's probably not a good idea to do that via e-mail), so it's a tricky situation.
Anyways, I should get to work, but I just wanted to update the blog so that I won't have to write any more novellas.
