New Zealand Here We Come!

October 28, 2008 - Sydney, Australia

It's our last day in Sydney today and we're still loving it here. We've seen a bit more of the place in the last few days, taking in Manly Beach and Watson's Bay in particular which are both just short ferry trips from Circular Quay. We've also met up with Suzanne who we met on our trip in Vietnam and Cambodia plus an old workmate of Richard's, Stuart McLachlan (who says hi to everyone back in Edinburgh!).

Apart from that we've just been chilling out really and taking it easy, admiring the scenery here. Cara's obviously had to revisit both Paddy's Market and the Rocks Market, but that probably goes without saying! (Un)fortunately we didn't have time to visit Palm Beach where Home & Away is apparently filmed - I'm gutted to not get the chance to meet Alf Stewart, especially after the Harold Bishop disappointment.

We're now just planning the New Zealand leg of our trip - we fly to Christchurch tomorrow morning and have a couple of days there before we fly down to Queenstown which sounds like the place to be. Cara's going to do a bungee jump and sky dive I think. Or perhaps not. After that, we've not decided yet - a couple of friends from home have passed on some great recommendations (thanks David and Alex) so we'll be trying to cram in as much as possible in the time we're there.

For those of you who don't believe that Cara went diving at the Barrier Reef, the photos are now online via the link on the right hand side (or just click here). We're also uploading some more pics from our time in Australia in case you're extra bored!

Hope all is well back home and suitable fireworks and brass bands, etc. have been booked for our return which is unfortunately looming a bit too close for comfort!
