About us
We are
Colin Woods, ex-analytical chemist and currently working as a photographer (though working is maybe a misleading term). I am 45 with the mental outlook of an inebriated undergraduate. Originally from England, I emigrated to Quebec in 2002 to live with Helene
who is
Helene Landry, an emergency doctor. She is 32 (yes I'm a cradlesnatcher) and a genuine Quebecoise. Unlike me, she actually does work. She's intelligent, mature and beautiful. What can I say, opposites attract.
About our trip
When we first met one of the things I said I wanted to do with in my life was to go around the world for a year. This wasn't just a load of blarney to get her in the sack, it was true (unlike all the stuff about how sensitive I was and how I loved to cook). Since then we always had in our minds that we were taking a gap year in either 2008 and 2009. Now its fixed. The tickets are bought, the house rented out and job resigned. The Grand Plan is loosely South America (Peru, Bolivia & Chile) New Zealand, Australia, India, Nepal and Europe (UK, France & Switzerland) and the departure is 17th August 2009. Nothing can possibly go wrong.
