7/07/2008-7/13/2008 Glacier National Park

We arrived in Hungry Horse, MT on July 7 and spent several days exploring Glacier National Park. They had a free shuttle bus that took us on the Going to the Sun Highway which goes up to Logan Pass. It was around 25 very slow miles to Logan Pass and then we continued down the other side on another shuttle bus. What beautiful scenery on the way. Each place we go seems to get better and better. Logan Pass had lots of snow and great views. We drove back up one day and went hiking. It was a 4 hr. hike and about 3/4 of the trail had snow on it. We hiked down to a lake and back. We also did some bike rides on different roads and a couple other hikes. They had wonderful bayberry pie in a restaurant near our campground. Of course, we didn't eat too much of that! (Don't ask me what bayberries are, because I don't know!)

Ron and I saw Devil's Tower a few years ago, and went to Mount Rushmore and was so impressed by it. One of our favorite trips. Glo

Boy all those pictures are great---I hope we get to do some traveling sometime. We have this great 5th wheel just sitting in the drive---I cleaned it out but we didn't get to go anywhere this year. Hopefully we will before my eyes get too bad and I can't see.
Please keep us up on your experience. Sounds wonderful!!

Ditto on the last comment about the 5th wheel -- didn't get to use this year. You guys are so blessed to be able to view and be in this beautiful, scenic country. Wish we were right alongside you! Thanks for remembering us!

Wasn't Glacier Park great! We took our moter home on going to the sun road and I just knew we would go over the side. But sure was pretty. We did not do any hikeing because serval people were killed by grizzeys just before we got there and some trails were closed.
