We arrived in Mt. Vernon, WA about 70 miles north of Seattle. We stayed in Mt. Vernon RV Resort, a Thousand Trails park. To all our TT friends this was a beautiful park. It had very large wooded private sites with a very nice clubhouse. The problem with the park is the power is weak, but the park is working to solve their problems. Also it is hard to get sattelite reception there. but the beauty of the park made it worth it. I flew out of Seattle to NY to attend my class reunion. I had a great time seeing all my friends. My husband stayed in WA to babysit our three cats. I returned to Mt. Vernon on July 29. We visited Deception Pass Bridge and Deception Pass State Park on August 3. The view of the fog shrouded bridge was beautiful and the views from the bridge were great. Then we took a drive along Puget Sound and you could see the San Juan Islands in the distance. My sister, Molly, and her husband John visited us on Aug. 4 and we took them back to
Deception Bridge and took a couple of short hikes there. On Aug. 5 we drove down to Puyallup, a little south of Seattle, to celebrate John's mother's, Eva, 80th birthday. We had a great visit with all of them and it was great to see my sister and her husband for a couple of days!
