Figueria da Foz

August 22... Same situation as yesterday...early start to avoid the afternoon trades and then put into Figuera De Foz marina 30 nm south. The waves on the Atlantic were quite high but manageable. Would guess at 4 meters for a couple of rogue waves. Sharon just laughed at them. Not a cloud in the sky and a direct down wind route to the next stop. Plan successfully completed and arrived at 3 pm to slowly increasing winds. This marina is possibly the best i have seen. Fabulous beaches, close to shopping, the atmosphere is much warmer and mediteranean. I am beginning to actually experience a SUMMER. Everywhere i have been they have said that this has been the coldest wettest , lastest summer ever. Might just spend a few days here resting.
