So this is the big beginning to the adventure. I will be posting updates on here as often as I can so you guys know what the heck I'm up to. Today is departure day. So far it has been pretty brutal. Got up at 5:00 to go to the airport. Little did I know or expect, the airport was crazy busy at 6:00am on a Monday!? So, after a lovely and lengthy check-in process, and a difficult and sad goodbye with Haley, I was off to security. One note of interest, if you plan on flying anywhere, don't grow a beard first. While I may be some WASP, the beard made me suspicious enough to pull me aside for "additional random screening". Despite the fact that my flight was in 20 minutes, I was made to wait 10 minutes just to have someone come to make sure I'm no bad guy. Missed flight 1... awesome. I walked up to my gate just as they closed the door, and despite some pleading, and despite the plane was mere feet away, it was not meant to be. So they got me on a different flight where I have to connect in Charlotte NC to get to Washington DC. This is where I am right now. Hanging out in the terminal. Oh, and my flight has been delayed here 2 hours! I think this is just a test... to see how much I want to go. It's actually not that bad, just kind of humorous how difficult it has been getting to DC. But they are finally loading the plane... VICTORY!!! Peace out hommies, I'll let you know the rest of this adventure when I can.

Try having a name like JOHN WALKER....stupid terroist guy..
But a beard will do that to you! FYI...dont let birds nest in your beard. If they are endangered you cannot get rid of them.
PEACE

HEY!!! I think of you often and I know you are having the most wonderful experience you could in a lifetime. The good times and the struggles will be great in the long run. I also know that you are living a much more exciting life then the rest of that in a wonderful beautiful island. Nelson and I still want to come and visit sometime so we are going to take fully advantage of your commitment (-:
Nelson and I went to Universal and Islands of Adventures on saturday (March 8th) and we were bummed that we couldn't call you up for some Lazy Moon to meet up (-: I bet the food is going to be AMAZING in DR. I can't wait to here more about your trip. xoxoxxoxo

Love,
Haley
