A Series of Fortunate Events

June 29, 2009 - Bangkok, Thailand

Woops sorry about the last one, I was going to right two days but then forgot and forgot to get rid of the sentence saying I was going to right two entries up the top. Oh and sorry everyone (including Mr.Vabre) but our pictures have been thwarted by a very slow and sometimes non-exsistent internet connection, but as soon as we get a decent one I will be sure to update many many photos.

Today was another fully awsome day....we managed to actually get most of the things that we wanted to done, ecxcept for the Siam Water World (a fully sick aquarium where if you pay about $70 you can go swimming with sharks! YAY! But I wasnt going to do that.

We first woke up at about 8:00, and had an alritey breakfast, with exactly the same bannana pancakes as Tiger Hut in Ko Chang, which meant that it must come from a mixture, and started to walk to the Golden Mountain (a big tower/temple that was built by over 3 kings, and devoted to buddha). On the way we found the Queen's Art Gallery, an art gallery that I actually found interesting and im sorry but I much prefer Thai art in everyway as opposed to Western Art. Anyways at the golden Mount (Later I will include photos) I got my fortune told by prayer sticks. Is anyone here a rich widow? If so be ready because I am going to have to marry you :P

Then came a river taxi to Jim Thompson's House (Most of you should know who that is, but if you are one of the *cough* 'select few' *cough* he was the first Thai Silk Merchant and created a booming business which he used the money from to buy priceless cultural Thai items for his house. There was an incredibly annoying Italian Lady who might have been slightly drunk, that was touching everything. Literaly everything. If the guide said this is a priceless antique bamboo bowl form 16th century china, she would go over and pick it up and smell it.

We had plenty of time on our hands, so we decided to have a quick pop in to MKB (jono XD no buriza but there is a mall) and There is a modded wii with 20 games for $288. I am debating whether to buy it or not.

anyways gtg cos my internet time is running out,

signing out, Bootlegger Sam

Didn't you LOVE the watertaxi - particularly the bit where they wind down the roof!

Sam, re the 'whatsis name wii techy thingy' - sounds like a birthday present, Garry and I happy to contribute dollars (about half) for such a good cause, so go ahead if a good (in working order) buy! Anyone else fallen in love with prospective gifts for their special occasions?
