 M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!

“The Happiest Place on Earth” could not have been more P-E-R-F-E-C-T!

Nic and I left early on Sunday morning (8:00) in order to get to the park as soon as it opened. Our first stop was Animal Kingdom!! My friend, Daniel, met us at the entrance of the park to give us free Park-Hopper Passes. For those of you who don’t know what that means; he basically got us into ALL FOUR PARKS for free. We were allowed to jump from one park to the next as often as we liked. Seeing as how he literally saved us over $300, it was hard to find a suitable way to thank him, but we figured a gift card to Starbucks was the least we could do! Thanks again, Daniel!

So, where were we? That’s right! Animal Kingdom! This was the one park that Nic has never been to and I was really excited to show him around! We started off seeing “A Bugs Life 3D”, then we rode “Expedition Everest”. The day was perfect! It was a comfortable 83 degrees, not a cloud in the sky! The best part was that the park wasn’t very crowded at all. We were able to hop on anything and everything with a maximum wait time of only about ten minutes. Anyway, we continued on our way and saw “Finding Nemo – The Musical”, rode “Dinosaur”, and then went to see Daniel in his show “Festival of the Lion King”.

When we exited the theatre, you’ll never guess who we ran into! The whole clan! Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, Donald, and Chip & Dale were all there greeting us with open arms, paws, and wings! So after we, of course, got our pictures with every single one of them, we decided to switch gears and make our way to the MAGIC KINGDOM!!

As soon as we entered the park, Nic and I immediately turned into five-year-old girls! Our eyes grew huge, pep in our steps, and smiles never left our face. And all was immediately heightened when we saw Pluto and Pinnochio waiting for us right as we hit Main Street! The day continued to be amazing. We caught a show at Cinderella’s Castle, watched the “Dreams Come True Parade”, and then made our way onto all the classics: “It’s a Small World”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Peter Pan’s Flight”, “The Haunted Mansion”, “Thunder Mountain”, “Splash Mountain”, and the ”Mad Tea Cups”! We had so much fun!

Unfortunately, the Magic Kingdom closed at 7pm on Sunday.  However, it did stay open until midnight for guests holding special passes for the Holiday Party. Although we didn’t hold passes, we still made sure to get pictures of the snow that was flurrying over Main Street as we left!

Then, we made our way to Epcot, which was open until 9pm. After immediately treating ourselves to two 3-layered Margaritas from Mexico, we continued walking around the world (laughing to ourselves about how this foreshadowed our soon-to-be future). You’ll never guess what happened next!

…..Remembering a fantastic wine that I got a few years ago during the “Food & Wine Festival” at Epcot, we set out in hopes to find it. Fate apparently stepped in, however, leading me NOT to the wine, but to Germany (where I thought the wine was). As I looked into the window of the building I thought was the winery, I saw a huge yellow gown. I immediately screamed to Nic, “Oh my gosh! Look! It’s BELLE!”

Well, nothing was stopping Nic between him and his favorite Disney Princess! (Like I said, five-year-old girls!) Anyway, he went right up to the door of the building, opened it and…BAM!

…..Not Belle! Instead, a woman in a pant suit, named Lisa, that asked, “Can I help you?” Well, after explaining to her his love for Belle, she slipped away telling us to wait where we were. You see, this building that fate led us to was a restaurant. And in this restaurant was a dinner where guests have PAID extra to dine with the Disney Princesses.

To make a long story short, magic happened and Lisa (in the pant suit) made two five-year-old girl’s dreams come true! She not only got us a picture with Belle, but also Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, and Mulan! Needless to say, our trip was now complete! But it wasn’t over yet! Because before we knew it, we had an autographed professional souvenir photograph with Belle. It was awesome!

After thanking Lisa a thousand times, we finally did find our wine, in just enough time to watch the firework show at Epcot. It was the perfect day, the perfect evening, the perfect magic!
