Heatache vs Heartburn

Heartache:

Cause: Lingering feelings
Symptoms: Heavy feeling in the heart, possible lack of appetite, inability to get out of bed
Relief: Coating of love, a new love, time
Time Line: Too long, but generally 1/2 the length of the relationship
Side Effects: Not wanting to see anyone, wanting someone new or wanting that person back

Heartburn:
Cause: Lingering food
Symptoms: Burning sensation in the esophagus, possible lack of appetite, inability to get to bed
Relief: Coating of pepto, another round, time
Time Line: Too long, but generally 1/2 the night
Side Effects: Not wanting to eat anything, wanting something else or wanting more

Ah francis this lifted my spirits after reading your latest blog. I hope you're doing ok. It's gotta be tough moving on after an experience like that. But you have a really good outlook to turn that into being more motivated at work.

Anyway, your blog reminded me of a song I love (by rufus wainwright)with a similar concept. It goes:
"Is this heartbreak or is this heartburn
Have I been played or do I need a rolaid?.."
