Mike and I have been in Sydney for the past 3 days now - one day left here. We've done lots and lots and lots of walking! The first day we were fairly tired after getting an overnight bus from the Gold Coast so we didn't do too much except eat and sleep! We visited Darling Harbour and went to Hard Rock cafe for lunch/dinner.
The second day we spent the entire day walking! We walked to the Harbour Bridge via Darling Harbour. We spent a while there, and then continued to the Opera House, Botanic Gardens and then came back through the shopping area.
If you had endless money - you could shop your socks off! There are so many high street shops and shopping malls everywhere! For once Mike bought himself some clothes - an entirely new outfit for when we go the theatre in Melbourne. Smart occasion requires smart clothes!
Yesterday we visited the museum, which had a special underwater exhibit which was fantastic. Learnt lots! Including that only 3 people have explored the deepest part of the ocean - less than those who have visited the moon. Quite surprising!
Today we went to the art gallery which had a special Japanese Exhibition which was great. Unfortunately we couldn't take pictures - but the pieces were incredible so it would have been nice to be able to take some pics.
Tomorrow we are a bit lost so we plan to go the cinema and explore china town before our evening bus down to Melbourne.
Next week we go back to NZ and then in 5 weeks we will be UK bound! Very excited - see you all soon ![]()
