More Plane Rides

March 15, 2010 - Negril, Jamaica

Today we woke up at 4:40 am to go to the airport. We caught the shuttle to the airport and waited for the plane. While I was getting tables together for everyone to sit at, a woman came up to me and asked if I was catching the 6am flight to Detroit and I said that I was on the next one. She asked if I wanted a $10 voucher, and I said, I don’t know if you don’t use it I can and she gave it to me all happy. Wow. People are so great around here.

The flight went good, but when we went to get our luggage, mine had not arrived yet. Mine was somewhere in Miami waiting to be sent to Montego Bay. Having be told that, it was the shitting feeling ever. EVERYTHING was in there. Not cool. The ride to Negril was really pretty. The road we took was right along the ocean. Once we got here, we got to check into our rooms. The hotel was pretty sweet. There was a porch on the ocean, beach chairs for us to use, and the rooms were very spacious. It was a place to rest our heads at night.

We got dinner at a pasty stand which was really delicious. We looked around at some shops too. The beach was georgeous and amazing.

The rest of the day was relaxing because three of us didn’t have our luggage and everyone was tired. Edye had an extra bathing suit she let me borrow which was amazing. Our stupid neighbors left their stereo blasting so we had to get security to go into their room and shut the music off.
