In London!

January 26, 2009 - London, United Kingdom

What a long day! Yesterday in US time, I got to the airport around 3 pm and checked my bags in and then went through security which is always fun. The flight left at 6 pm and we arrived in London a little before 5 am (12 pm US). The flight was a tight squeezeee. Everyone was pretty much on top of another. Mark and I walked around the plane and stood in the back just stretching. While waiting in line for the bathroom, best time to just stand ha ha, I met this man from India who lives in India and the US and he was really nice and we just chatted it up. We then landed and had to wait till 9 am when everyone arrived to hop on the bus to get to Nido Accomidation, our apartment building. The ride was intense being on the other side of the road and the driving here. I saw a lot of the city which is awesome! I met some of the students at the airport and it went well. We unloaded, checked in, and finally got to our flats (apartment room). I have a roommate who is really cool. We met her at the airport and hoped she'd be my roommate. The room is really tiny, but we're managing. My bags are mostly unpacked, but I forgot towels and other items. I'll update soon with pictures and posts!!

Read your email first, and then your blog. Sound like you had quite the evening/day! Don't know what King's station is in your email, so you'll have to explain sometime when you have a free moment! ha! ha! Hope everything falls into place for you over the next few days! Take each day one at a time! Good luck, hugs & kisses!!!
