Wow Berlin is a fantastic place! There is loads to see and do but we've been taking it easy after the hairy trip here. Have only been milling around the city visiting the Check Point Charlie museum, going up the TV tower (which is MASSIVE) and checking out the final standing bits of the Berlin Wall. The wall was immense, not only huge but it has some great graffitti on it.
As we were stopping 3 nights in Berlin we able to make some new chumlies... Faye and Neil (hello if your reading). It was lovely to meet new people and have spent some time drinking & sight-seeing with them. The city has a very friendly atmos, would recommend it to anyone...think London, but more spacious & clean. Had to enjoy a bratwurst with chips in the sunshine, will save the massive pretsel for when we return to Germany.
Writing to you all from Warsaw, Poland at the moment...got here last night after a whole day travelling yesterday (Poland is alot wider than one thinks haha). Have spent the day walking round the old town - though none of it survived the war - and visited the Chopin museum, which Leanne kindly agreed to browse though classical piano isn't really her thing...Will be sampling some Polski vodka tonight with Emma, a new found friend from Bouremouth, but won't be getting totally sloshed though as a train to Krakow is waiting for us tomorrow.
Ciao for now! xxx
