Greetings from Vienna!
We have been having a excellent time in Poland and Austria. We met a Dutchman (Mart) on the platform in Warsaw and he coincidently happened to be in the same hostel, (in the same room!) as us in Krakow. We had uber party time in Krakow... Poland rocks! It was a Sunday night and the place was busy and crazy, just bloody excellent. The beer is cheap and there are loads of backpackers, (we'll put the photos up as soon as we can find a USB port).
Krakow also has lots of lovely sights, and we have been sampling the finest Polish food... Sauerkraut is not as bad as people think and comes in lots of different varieties! We have visited Auschwitz, that was all very sad and incredibly vast in its size, but it's definitely an experience we would advise. It's truly shocking.
Aside from that Krakow was good and we have met some cool people. We had a few problems getting out of the place as there are not many trains from the station to main cities so we had to go to Katowice to get to Vienna, which is where we are now. Our new friend Mart also had problems getting to Bratislava so he has joined us in Vienna, its been great. Leanne thinks Vienna is like London only cleaner and better architecture. It is very nice overall but really expensive. We only spent the day wandering around the city, it has been so hot!
We leave for Munich tomorrow... fingers crossed for a better time! We have booked ahead so nothing should go wrong.
Tara for now Chucks... keep it British! xxxxxx
PS the hostel we are staying at is like 'little America' aaagggghhhhh!!!!!!!
