We have added a Scamper Sport pop-up to our stable of Rvs. This will be used primarily as a rental. There were quite a few people asking about rental units during my stay at Pike lake this past June and July so Fran and I decided to take the plunge and buy one to place in the rental market. We do plan on using it ourselves when Chumy is set up during our camp host stays. Our first trip with the Scamper will be in a few weeks when we attend the Wisconsin State Park Volunteer Jamboree at Point Beach State Forest.
We have not strayed to far from the Airstream family since the Scamper is a Thor product, the parent company of Airstream. It is a top of the line pop-up, quality made just like Chummy. However, unlike Chummy who sleeps just two, the pop-up will comfortably sleep six people. There is also a three way refrigerator, furnace, galley sink, and inside outside stove. A bike rack mounts on the top so customers can take along their bikes. We include a full kitchen set of dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
The Scamper is light weight and can easily be towed by a Ford Explorer or equivalent vehicle. We are also offering a delivery, setup and take down service for those who are flying in or just want the convenience of a camper already set up on their campsite. Are you interested in trying it out? E-mail for the Scamper is: elcave@wi.rr.com.
