So a flight to Singapore was about 8 hours films all the way made it go fast! You could feel the heat as soon as we left the airport, hot hot hot and it was 8pm. We found a hostel and chilled out the next day it was time to explore we met up with Helens friend Caroline and found some cool parts of the city, huge buildings, temples and loads of places to get food! That night we went to chinatown to see the markets it was quite livley and lots going on.
In the morning we headed for the rest of the city and escaped for a bit to the botanical gardens it was really nice out there but very hot so went back, in search of air con. We got to Orchard st it was just full of malls one after the other i have never seen anything like it, all full with people. Crazy!! We walked to most places but it was a bit far to some so used to tube which was fast and cheap and everywhere is very very clean!
Next day we saw china town and little inda in the day light both very interesting not like the business district which was all a bit serious! We went to mt faber as it was a good look out to the city and Sentosa island we got the cable car up there then over to Sentosa too. Sentosa is a strange place, its a small island and half of it is like a family hol resort the other where all the rich people live! It has man-made beachs and lots of attractions, it was worth a look but not again! That night we when for a meal in clark key in a nice place as it was our last night here and with Caroline.
We were leaving on a 1pm bus to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Just enough time to do a few more things, i went to the biggest mall in Singapore where the biggest fountain in the world was! Was a bit of a dissapointment but i saw it! Singapore is a really nice place and a good place to start in asia as everyone speaks English, its clean, safe and friendly.
On to Malaysia....
