Argentina - Salta & Iguazu

February 2, 2009 - Salta, Argentina

 Hey,

Sorry its been a while coming....

So into Argentina and to a lovely city Salta, it was a 6hr bus tip from the border! The city has a nice setting in the mountains only 1200m up though so low compared to what we have been use to! We walked round the city and relaxed the first day then the second day we went to see St Bernardo a statue on a nearby hill that gave great views of the city and mountains!Iguazu We got the cable car up then walked down! the next day we had decided to go to Iguazu falls futher north on the border with Brasil, we had a few stops on the way but it was 23hrs on the bus!! Well worth it tho it is an amnazing sight! We stayed on the Argentina side in Puerto Iguazu for a night, a nice small town. The day after we went over to Brasil to see it from there, it was impressive as you can see more of the main part of the fall!! I really loved this place! That night we got a bus to Rosario a City not that far from Buenos Aires another 17hr epic!! the buses are really good tho! It is the 3rd biggest city in Argentina but its very nice as its on the river that has islands with beaches to visit. That is where we have been today, nice and relaxing.... as we may have another long bus journy tomorrow but we are not sure if we want to stay another day!Iguazu rainbow We are in no rush has we have till the end of feb here! We are not going to the Rio carnival as its just too expensive! will not leave it as long next time and pictures will follow...
