Eye Love London

March 27, 2008 - London, United Kingdom

Today was another full day. I had class at 10-- a British Literature lecture on Wordsworth. Grandmother came. After class, we met Mom and had lunch at Cafe Forum. Then Grandmother went back to the hotel room to rest and pack while Mom and I went to my art class. We rode the Tube out to Hampstead and then went out to see the collection at the Kenwood House. Parts of Notting Hill were filmed there! We came back and had dinner with Grandmother at Organic Pizza. (We like Italian food!)

Tonight we rode the London Eye. It's a huge Ferris wheel and is the tallest "observation wheel" in the world. (132 metres high I believe). It is very famous is London and is a huge characteristic of the London skyline. People can rent out capsules for different events, couples can have little dates on it, or tourists come to see the city. We fell in the third category. It was really neat. London is such a beautiful city-- especially at night. It's great. Parliament and Big Ben were SO beautiful at night all lit up! I enjoyed the walk across Westminster Bridge. The weather was really nice.

After the Eye we came back to the Daniel House so I could finish packing the suitcase that I am sending home with them tomorrow. Mom checked her email and they went back to their hotel. I am exhausted now and I am going to get in the bed because we are leaving at 5:45 to get them home!
