Kingfisher Camp to Robinson River Crossing

August 23, 2008 - Robinson River Crossing, Australia

From Kingfisher Camp I traveled back to the Savannah Way and then further direction west. Near Hells Gate Roadhouse, now permanently closed the landscape gave way to low ranges with interesting rock formations. The different landscape is also visible on the fauna, different trees all the time and the river crossings. These are really deep dips, some 20 meters or more. I expect that in the Wet these crossings are deep and fast flowing, so totally impassible.

I made camp at Robinson River Crossing, one of those deep crossings. My camp was in the bed of the river, the bank is some 15 meter higher.
