From Mataranka it is only 100 km to Katherine, a city of 11000 souls. I shopped because the fridge was empty, I refueled, had a punctured tyre repaired and made an appointment at the Toyota dealer for maintenance and some repairs on the Troopy, such as a new left hand mirror and probably the replacement of the front left wheel bearing which shows to much clearance. All will be done on Monday. At last I went through my e-mail.
Then I travelled direction Darwin to make camp at the Edith Falls some 60 km away from Katherine. It is a beautiful and quiet place with a big pool which is filled by the falls and is safe for swimming. There are two more pools and smaller falls further upstream, to be reached via relatively short walks.
