After a swim in the pool at the camp site I went to Katherine, primarily to update my weblog. I also had the auxiliary battery checked, since it is not performing well; it does not seem to charge sufficiently because it runs flat during the night so the fridge starts warming up. It should be possible to run the fridge at least 36 hours without recharging. The problem is not yet solved. In the afternoon I visited the Katherine museum and had a nice chat with the bloke who runs the adjacent tea house. He said that the weather had turned hot to early in the season and that he expected an early wet season as well.
I made camp again ay Edith Falls. I was back there early enough for a walk to and a swim in the closest upper pool.
