left early and followed the Victoria Highway to Gregory NP. After a short detour to Timber Creek to check my e-mail I went into the park and made camp at Limestone Gorge, a small campsite with a billabong close by which is cleared of estuarine crocodiles, so safe to swim. The area is mountainous in the Australian way: steep en low. Once entering these mountains boab trees were abundant.
