I had an early breakfast and then made a walk along the escarpment of the gorge. After that I left to travel south through the Gregory NP. The first part of the day the boabs were abundant, I find it interesting shapes for photos.
The track was a truly 4WD affair, I traveled 130 km and that took the whole day. It was a great trip, a few unexpected creek crossings (with water) and many dry creeks to cross. Around midday the track crossed a range with a few steep parts.
I made camp at ther Wickham River Crossing. It is actually just outside the NP. It is a great camp site. The river is narrow and flows fast with a few deep holes for a swim.
I did not meet anyone today. The track looked as though nobody had been there for a week or more. I am the only one at the camp site.
The weather was different today. During the night there was a strong wind, in the morning there was a big cloudbank in southerly direction. When I got there it rained a bit, nothing serious. And in the rain I had again a flat tyre. I am at this time very experienced in changing tyres.
