I've realised that the computer doesn't keep the paragraphing I use - so the entry must have been VERY difficult to decipher (with the quotation from 'Lord of the Rings'). Apologies.
Now at Stansted Airport en route to Lourdes. Found a direct flight to Lourdes with a Catholic pilgrimage tour group and have now met some of the other passengers - it was incredibly moving. Wheelchairs, walking frames and broken bodies and minds - but the most incredible cheerfulness and welcome. A young girl came rushing up to me "Hello!!! Are you going to Lourdes? Aren't you excited?!!! What's your name?!!!" Her name is Kate. I'm also struck by the warmth and care the airport staff show to the disabled passengers in the security processing - great patience and respect. I am so mindful of the gift of my health and fitness - that whatever difficulties the walk may present, the challenges I face are few. I am so grateful for this opportunity.
Brother Reg told me his story of Lourdes and what a graced experience it had been. Initially, i was reluctant to go (associated with tourism etc) but even here at the airport, I can sense how special this will be.

Enjoy your travels and stay safe
Miss you
