Changi Airport

October 7, 2008 - Santiago de Compostela, Spain

A very brief entry from Changi airport (in transit for 4 or 5 hours). Am very tired since there was little sleep as I was in a middle seat and the man on one side of me, who had no difficulty sleeping, rather overflowed his seat, his snoring resembling that of the Spanish cyclists on the Camino!

Sue and Pauline - wonderful to find comments from you already!!! I read your website and was VERY impressed - both with the content and the presentation (I'll put the address when I'm back in Australia so that others can look at it). Pauline, there are so many reflections in 'The Dancing Star' which express so beautifully what the journey is - and I certainly hope that we do meet again, or at least stay in contact. I also would really like to make contact with Liz, the other guest at the House of Prayer while I was there - I learnt a lot from her - so I'll get her details from you, if that's possible.

I've also received emails from Olivier and other fellow pilgrims from the Camino - definitely friendships for life. I feel very blessed in all the people, friends old and new, family in England and Mark's family in Australia, the Christian Brothers, and so many others who have given me so much in so many ways over the past weeks and months. Liz S - the bracelet is a very precious gift.

Helena Welcome home. I have spent the last hour or so catching up on your very special journey. Although I had not followed you closely, you have often been in my thoughts. Your writing is an inspiration, your journey it appears has been all you hoped for. I look forward to seeing you soon and hope the transition back into being home is gentle for you. Take care.
