Return to Camping

January 2, 2009 - Singapore, Singapore

It was like climbing back on a horse after a fall, returning to camping after Mark's death. I've camped several times over the past year with school groups - in the Flinders and on the Murray River - but this was the first time of heading off on my own. Stayed in unpowered sites at caravan parks rather than the bush camping I would have done with Mark, but was fortunate in that the parks where I stayed offered sites fairly removed from other campers. And it was good - I missed Mark a great deal, especially in the Grampians where I went back to some of the places we had been to together, but it brought back some very happy memories, and the walking was very good.

Won't write now but have uploaded many photographs from the drive along the Great Ocean Road, the day out with Rose, and the return through the Grampians. I think you click on the 'latest picture' and then click on slideshow or something.

Next week, Kangaroo Island.
