December 30, 2006 - Máncora, Peru

Hi Everyone!

This entry is going to be short, mostly because this keyboard sticks and unless I type with gusto, itendsuplookinglikethis.

I wanted to take a minute and let you know that after a week on a beautiful beach at Mancora, Peru, we are crossing back into Ecuador tomorrow. You´ll get a better update soon, with some more pictures.

Before I sign off, I want to share with you a quote from everybody´s favorite dictator, Saddam. I swear, according to multiple reputable online news sources he really wrote this. In light of his impending trip to see his 73 raisins in heaven (or could it be hell?) , I thought I´d share his words of wisdom with you.

¨I call on you not to hate because hate does not leave space for a person to be fair and it makes you blind and closes all doors of thinking.¨
- Saddam Hussein

Possibly the most blatant case of ¨Do as I say, not as I do.¨ that could ever be imagined.

Off my soap box now. Thank you, good night, happy new year.

Oh, and it is not fun to be sick in a foreign country, but Rachel took good care of me, and now I am feeling all better!

Glad you're feeling better now. Danny has mono (sigh!). Can't stay away from Ecuador, eh?

You're going back to Ecuador?! That's exciting! What's the plan there? I wish I had time off and large savings and could come visit you :) Feliz ano nuevo...
