With RyanAir you get exactly what you pay for: a cheap flight. Both flights I took with them were late departing and you had to queue forever to check-in your bags. When I left Madrid they couldn't find the airplane...they told us the wrong gate...twice. Whatever the flight was cheap! I had about 23 hrs in Dublin to explore. Once I finally figured out where the hostel was and dropped off my stuff I was off to the Temple Bar Area to see the nightlife area. I was sort of disappointed that there weren't too many authentic Irish pubs. They were mostly all modern and trendy bars, and the authentic looking ones were very touristy.
The next day I had an early start so I could see as much as possible before I left. My first stop was Trinity College, Dublin. They have many of the same traditions as we do at Trinity in University of Toronto (except they don't wear gowns to dinner ) Then I went to Merrion Square, St Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle. After seeing all of this it was nearly 3pm and it was time to head to the airport for my flight to Birmingham.
