Or at least I think so. Leaving this morning at 11:25 and arriving in San Salvador, El Salvador around 2045. Thats right, everything runs on a 24 hour time schedule down there, otherwise known as military time...4 years in the Marine Corps is finally paying off, knew it would come in handy someday. I don't really know how I am feeling right now little bit anxious I guess. So much planning, time and effort went into making this trip possible. I think I am more ready to go just to stop thinking about the planning and little stupid details like, shots, pills, tape, toliet paper, how I am going to get in touch with the rescue team to come swoop me out, (Ninja Number 5, stand by, oh and 2 1/2 as well, haha) but yet I still have doubts about choices being made. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to go and look forward to the many things I will see and do, but have questions about things/people being left behind...I know what you all would say, "everybody has questions about making life changing decisions" and "this is a pretty great, exciting, crazy, or stupid move" (the people saying stupid, you know who you are) I agree with all of you next to the Marine Corps this is probably the smartest/dumbest thing I have ever done.(funny how things can be smart and dumb all at the same time) Well, the Marines worked out good, if you call sleep devervation and doing a lot of things you really don't want to do good, than this should be a blast. No, no, no, this will be a great trip and a real eye opening experience in life and cultures I have yet to encounter, "I am glad the American Vandal goes overseas..." Mark Twain "The American Vandal" in case your interested, look it up, great passages. Well, I'm sure I have rambled on about absolutly nothing long enough and have probably bored most of you to death by now, so if your still reading, thanks for your support..."read my lips, no new taxes...!"
I do not know exactly what will happen and where I will go over the next 4 months, but I do know that I have somewhere I want to be come June that I can't and won't miss so you can count on me coming back sometime before that...(and no, I don't mean school)
So wish me luck in my travels and all that I do, because as everyone who knows me, which is everyone who subscribed to this, I will most likely need it...So leave comments if you so choose, I look forward to reading them and hearing about what everyone is up to.
Take care everyone, and to one...looking forward to coming 90 real soon!!!
