So...Costa Rica has come and gone. parting is such sweet sorrow. Costa was great, the beach, waves, people were incredible. There is something to be said for a country that does not have a military, everyone seems more peaceful, but also willing to come together in times of need. [as long as it is at their own time, TICO TIME...) Well that and the fact that if anything was to ever happen, like Costa Rica gets invaded...the U.S. military would be here in an instant to protect their interests...guess that sort of helps.... Well let me think, where did we last end....San Jose was a great time. We met up with our buddies from Granada and they took us out during the day and night to show us all that San Jose had to offer, which to my suprise was quite a bit...very interesting and old city where people seem in much more of a rush than the rest of the country, guess you can say that about all major cities though...anyway, had a good time but more interested in the outskirts of real big cities. So we shot out to Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coast. Walked right in to a terriable rain storm that lasted for most of the time we were there. Stayed in a cool little hostel by the name of Rockin Js on the beach in a hammock for a couple days, literaly in the hammock to sleep, hammock hotel...sort of nice except for the fact that I fell out in the morning because I forgot I was in a hammock, guess you have to get used to it...workin on it. Couldnt really do too much because of the monsoon but we made the best of it and caught up on some reading and and inner thinking....like where the hell are we going next! After some deep meditating about that issue...ie sitting at a bar for a couple hours and trying not to get distracted from the question at hand... we decided that we have done all of the damage we possibly can, except make a volcano erupt, once again another thing out of my control...who knew...in Costa Rica and decided to get on the 2 buses and the very skechy one board walking bridge to get in to Panama, sort of funny the semis that were going across on their bridge didnt have much more support than we did. So here we are in Panama, actually in Bocas Del Toro, visiting my old friends Panama, Soberana, Atlas, and Balboa....Tommy, you know what Im talking about...miss ya this time around bro...and what do you know... we get in and the country of Panama and they throw a Carnival for us, that was nice of them. or maybe it was just the last night of their annual carnival...I like to think it was more for us though...only here for today and leaving tommorrow to head to the mountains of Bocata. Hope all is well with everyone and happy...oh by the way we got our tickets to Quito and we make the jump to South America on March 1, can you believe it has already been over a month and we are in our last country in Central America... going to try to put some pictures up as well, sorry didnt really take too many in Costa, was always at the beach and in the ocean, sorry...
miss you all...
