Wow. So it has seemed like forever since my last message since so much has gone on since then. On the sunday I got to spend the day by myself after Ed and Michelle left me. I did the typical tourist thing: went to trafalger square, saw the London museum, went to Buckingham palace, and then I saw Westminister Abbey and the Big Ben. It was awesome to just explore by myself and see everything in London. I learnt how to find my way around after I get lost! After a long day I left London and stayed at a hotel near Stansted Airport so I could catch my morning flight to Amsterdam.
So when I first got to the Amsterdam Airport Linda was right there so we could start our day together. We first went to our hostel which was the biggest shocker! We get in there at 10 in the morning and everyone was insanely stoned and everything smelt like weed. The first impression of our hostel was intimidating so we left Amsterdam and took the train to see other cities within the Netherlands. We first went to the beach that was on the North Sea which was beautiful and I got to try some of the dutch deep fried food. mmmmm. After hanging out on the beach we went to Haarlem where there was a festival to celebrate Liberation Day. We had no idea where the festival was, but by following the huge crowds we found the festival. It started off like any other festival, but by the time we left around 6:30 there was easily over 20,000 people there! There were all sorts of bands that played, many that were not known in Canada but there was the band Matt and Kim, who are awesome and have the song that is on the Telus commercial. Anyways, we were exhausted so we headed back to our hostel for some down time. When we got back the Flying Pig hostel, we were able to meet a group of Aussies staying in the bed across from us. With the Aussies we went exploring through the city, mainly the red light district. While we were walking to our next pub people were calling us to come and see their shows. Out of many hilarious lines the best one was "Come in and save your marriage." Haha
Anyways we eventually made our way back to the hostel where we were happy to go to bed. On Tuesday morning, we decided to go back to the beach outside of Amsterdam, where we spent most of our day tanning and sleepingĀ until we caught the train to get to Milan.

Sounds like you are having an amazing time! Can't wait to read about Milan!
