Caerphilly is famous for their medival castle.
It is a fortress! After this trip, my backside is going to look good after climbing all these stairs on this island! The stair landings were so tiny and the curving stairwells made me dizzy. So the castle is very impressive and I found it very odd to have something so old next to a modern shopping mall. The castle is surrounded by two moats. 
The park around the castle was green, lush grass with lots of geese! They also had a display of weaponry which was interesting. 
Our hotel was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed a nice bath and a full night's rest to prepare for tomorrow - Band Camp!
We visited Castle Coch before we left for Swansea. It is a beautiful castle and what you would expect a fairy tale castle to look like. Another pretty day.
