was announced and I'm proud to say that it was the Eminence Band Trombone Section! Thank you very much! So that included Anthony, some girl, John, Bob, Jeannine, Barrie, and Wolter. Woo-hoo!
Rehearsal for the concert was at 3:00 P.M. and took some time to coordinate the two large bands. I felt hurried all day, but the rehearsal was good and I had time to shower, do laundry, eat dinner, and get ready for the concert - somehow! The concert was great! We had a good crowd and the bands all played well. It was a good 2 1/2 hour concert and we got a standing ovation for 1812 Overture. It was all good. It is nice to play for a receptive audience.
After the concert, was time to decompress and drink! To the pub!
Took lots of pictures and visited with people and had a great time. This is what it's all about anyway! It was a great final night and I was up to about 1:30 A.M.
Slept really well (but not enough) and was eager to get to England. I highly recommend the camp to anyone. It was a great environment to meet others with the same interests and to be with band geeks. The music was very achievable for me and now I know what to expect and can move it up a knotch when I go again.

A great evening was had by all and it turned out very differently from what I had expected (I just came to Swansea for a business meeting with David Childs, his dad and his uncle!). Thanks for the memories!
