The end

Tuesday 6/3/08

Today was my last day of work, so I went to a meeting with the Senate Armed Services Committee in the morning and in the afternoon our bosses took us out to lunch.  It feels like it's been a long quarter because of all the stuff I've done, but at the same time it went by really fast.  I'll miss everyone here and all the exciting action of the big city, but I'm definitely ready to get back to California.

In the morning, John McCain spoke at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference and I got to go watch.  I have now officially seen all three major presidential candidates, plus Ron Paul.  Another intern came with me, so she wrote talking points and I edited audio clips.

In the afternoon, I went to a Senate Republican Conference about finding solutions to the U.S. foreign oil addiction and counteracting global warming.

Tuesday 5/27/08

It was a light week since Congress was not in session, so I only covered one event on Tuesday.  Wednesday I stayed home sick, and Thursday I was czar so I didn't cover any events.

Hi Jenna!
What a wonderful experience you had in DC! I'm happy that you got to see some sites out of the area too.
Listening to all 3 of the candidates hopefully helped you to form an opinion that is honest and not "party" based. I always vote for my choice and not party. Come home safe! Your Mom looks great!
C.
